Season Comes to an End

Saturday ended a lot of things, most notably the end of the season for the Longhorns who dropped a disappointing game to Milton Eagles. Leading by 15 points early in the 3rd quarter, it looked as if Kell was headed to the 2nd round of region tournament to take on Sprayberry, but Milton went on a run, took the lead, and never looked back.
The season ending disappointingly was not the saddest part of Saturday though, it was also the end of the high school basketball careers of our Seniors. Max Stein, Pooh Pitts, Andy Miller, Mike Daly, Dion Mercer, Terrence Slade, and Denari Taylor will never wear the Longhorn colors again. For this entire staff, I say Thank you to our Senior Class for all that they gave this program over the last few years. You helped build a foundation that we can build off of next year and hopefully raise the program to another level. It was great to see you work hard and it pay off towards the end of the season. You will be missed and I wish you all the very best in whatever you do!!
The date of the banquet is not yet known but as soon as it is set, the word will be put out.
